Life

So I have been sick and have gotten nothing posted in a while. I am starting to feel human again. Hopefully I will be okay by tomorrow because my Mom-in-law is taking the 4 kids to spend the weekend with her. (I can hear Mike (her hubby) groaning from here!!!) Chris and I are looking forward to a childless weekend. Not sure when the last time we were childless but I can tell you it has been ages! We are going to try and hit IKEA and buy some baby furniture for Corwin. We also want to go to the Renaissance Festival. We have no plans to cook at all the entire weekend and although I should probably get some chores done, I won't. Cowin is due in the next 10 to 13 weeks so we are going to take advantage of one last moment of serenity before the chaos of another blessing hits our home. I might if I get a chance, post some pics of the few items I got done last weekend before being attacked by the flu.

As for daycare, I have been wearing gloves very regularly. The daycare kids have taken many opportunities to blow up on us as well. I think that the one whose diaper was so bad last week is the cause of my illness and that of the other 2 that are spewing unmentionable stuff everywhere. I guess it is time for another diaper patrol!

Another thing to share.
The other night, I was at a meeting discussing the High School options for our area (we only became a Unified district last election and no high school until 2009). My oldest is starting HS in the fall and turning 14 this summer. That is about enough to do you in. But then they mentioned that bussing to the school we are choosing will quit being provided when we do have a school in our district. However, they will allow all students who come in as freshman to complete HS there -- I just have to provide transportation. So here I was driving home from this meeting, discussing with my 13 year old, about how she will have to possibly drive herself to school. She points out that she can get her learners permit in just under 2 years!!!!!
I swear I am too young to have a teenager, who will be driving and going to high school!
Even funnier to me though is that Amanda wants my hubby, Chris, and not her own dad to teach her to drive. She says he is calmer and more rational in pressure situations. I say -- as long as it isn't me!!!!
