Wow, I have been so busy. School got out. Amanda had a fab year -- straight A's including her honors classes. Rebecca had a play which she did absolutely awesome in and she also placed first for Science fair for 4th grade and she had the most AR (accelerated reader) points in the 4th grade (3rd in the entire school). Drake had a great school year as well, honor roll all 4 terms. Jocelyn is growing up so fast. She will take the Kindergarten next week and hopefully she will get to start school in the fall. Corwin is walking along the furniture as well as standing up most of the time. I can't believe that he is turning 1 in just 2 short weeks.
Chris and I went to Vegas to celebrate our 10 year anniversary which was in March. My mom watched the kids for us. It was a nice trip, however, next time I should take scrapbooking with me. I laid around watching my IPOD more than anything. We saw Penn and Teller -- front row center. We saw Indiana Jones as well. And ate out. We had a hot tub in our room, which was nice to soak in after walking around. Apparently I am too old to be walking around Vegas without being crippled by the pain.
Funny though, we got dressed up to go see Penn and Teller. When coming back to the Luxor that night, there was a guy who offered us tickets to get into LAX which is their night club. We had to laugh because we couldn't even picture ourselves in there. Plus we were so tired because it was like 11:30 at night. The next day, the much cooler people rolled into town so no one tried approaching us for any trendy, hip locations.
We discovered that we were prime demographics for time shares. And Vegas is so weird now that they don't have coin slots in the machines. Everything is with a card or a bill and paid by ticket. The casinos sound quieter even. Anyway, it is good to be home.
