We had a very busy week with Jocelyn's surgery. I have been so blessed to have so many people helping and trying to make this surgery go well.
My mother in law took the kids for the weekend to make sure Jocelyn got a good dose of swimming before she was restricted from the activity for a couple of weeks. Then on Monday, she and my husband's favorite aunt, Becky, did some deep cleaning at my house to ensure I came home to a clean house. Grandma Karen also made sure she spoiled her with activities and goodies and 2 visits at the hospital.
My aunt and uncle, Lucy and Bob, came down to assist with daycare so I could concentrate on Jocelyn. And my parents came down to be caretakers for the rest of my kids (including scouts and various requirements for the kids achievement awards)and also assist with daycare duties. I am so blessed.
Jocelyn is doing amazing. 4 hours ago she refused to even walk, and now I am telling her to CALM DOWN -- she won't stop moving! Her procedure was straight forward and done with expert precision and speed. They were going to let us go home yesterday but Jocelyn was just emotional not ready. We had to convince her today that she was ready. Once she realized we could watch DVD's in the car, we were good to go. So the plan for Jocelyn now is, a follow up visit in 3 weeks, then again at 2 months and a last one at 6 months post op. If they are all a-ok, there will be no need to see the Urologist again -- at least for this condition.
Again thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and wonderful things that were done to make this go so smoothly. We are so blessed.
