Day 2 -- Dr appointment

Corwin has lost almost a pound even with nursing and formula both. (Down to 7 pounds 14 ounces) So we are keeping a log and trying to feed him extra feedings to see if we can't get him to start gaining. If he doesn't get back to birth weight by next Tuesday, they will have to run some tests. I am trying to up my caloric intake because I am not sure I have been eating enough -- forget to eat because I am so sleepy. He poops 12 times a day so we know the food is definitely going in. He poops almost immediately after he eats. Sometimes while he is eating. Anyway, I am off to take another nap -- so tired and a bit weepy today. Mostly from feeling like I am failing to give him what he needs. You'd think I would be able to get a child to breastfeed better since this is the 4th time we are trying it. I really hate the idea of bottle feeding and really hope that is not what happens. Especially with such an easy delivery. Oh well! I keep trying and praying that this is only a small obstacle and not a problem with him. Off to nap before dinner.
