Day One at home
Day one at home has been a nice sleepy day for me. I nursed and slept. So far he is still winning the batlle when it comes to the left side. Absolutely refuses to latch on for what ever reason, so I have been a pumping fiend. All my kids take a good 2 weeks to get the hang of everything. Other than the hissy fit he throws when it comes to that side and the dreaded diaper changes -- really hates the diaper changed, he is very peaceful. My hubby and I are shocked because neither of us feel stressed or weird either. I remember the other 4 making me crazy and weepy. Maybe I am finally grown up enough to deal with a newborn. Or he is just really, really good. Tomorrow, a trip to the pediatrician and who knows what else. I actually quit taking Ibuprophen today because I don't hurt. Not that I want to run any marathons, but even the stairs aren't bad. My pain level has been much more diminished than I anticipated. Makes me glad we had the c-section which is not anything I thought I'd say. We finally had a nice boring pregnancy followed by a nice boring delivery. Guess we were entitled!
