Finally some scrapping to share.

I am taking an online scrapping class. The class is called Product Playground 2 and the whole purpose of it is to get you using those things in your scrap room. If you did not have an item on the supply list, you were encouraged to improvise. Me being the junkie I am, had everything already. A lot comes in my monthly kit (yes! I am down to just 1 and am debating whether it is time to let it go too). Anyway the cool thing is that I was so inspired, I have 7 new layouts to share. There are 6 sections to this class

This first set was called the softer side. I was encouraged to use things like the ric rack, hand stitching, buttons, and rub ons. I even pulled out my sewing machine for these.

This second set was called on the edge which used lots of edge card stock, punches and deco scissors.

Happy July

So a year ago, July was a bit bumpy. New baby in our house was a good thing, but very tired momma made. A year ago today I was just thinking how it was the worst day ever because I had lost my cell phone and my keys at the mall. In the coming days, it would have been banished the minor events.

So one year later, my health is okay. That is a blessing. We are facing Jocelyn's issue's this month and hopefully we will be able to look back a year from now with a blessed feeling.

So I have taken a break from the house and jumped into my scrap room. I am sharing only a portion of the items I have done because it would take to much effort to post everything. I did 16 Quikpages (just add pics to a predone page) this weekend. Plus the following. Some of the pics stink, sorry!

For my sis

This is for my sister (well technically sister - in - law) and my brother and his little family (who I never get to see except through blogging). I wanted this project to be bold and different. I used black and white to really make the puzzle pieces the focus. Plus I think it is a contradiction -- Autism is not black and white. I also scuffed it up a bit to represent the fact that we need to keep working to find answers to unlock the potential in each child with Autism. They are already amazing but what more can they do? The words hope, learn. joy and believe were picked because we hope for answers and maybe some cure, we are constantly learning as are the sweet children, we find joy in simple things as well as the many new accomplishments, and we believe in doing the very best to give those Autism the best quality of life and the opportunity to succeed. And don't worry Heather, I will make some pages for the inside. Just need some perfect pics.

Some pages I have done

I have done a few pages for challenges on the Secret Scrapper Board and thought I should show them off.
